Unitec launches its new Unical_200 Cherry grader

The UNICAL_200 Cherry © is one of the innovations Unitec was presenting at Fruit Logistica 2016 in Berlin.

This electronic grader is designed for small, delicate products, particularly cherries and cherry tomatoes. Its technology is very powerful and highly sensitive. The grader is equipped with Cherry_Vision 2 for non-destructive detection of the external and internal quality of the cherries.

This is a highly innovative, versatile system that can be adapted to the different needs of each client. Unitec designs and manufactures 100% of its solutions in-house, specifically for each individual type of fruit, such as apricots, apples, kiwifruit, plums, blueberries, peaches and pears, as well as for other products.

Unitec’s quality sorting and grading systems (colour, shape, ripeness, degrees Brix, acidity, internal and external defects, etc.) guarantee a high level of accuracy and precision in fruit quality sorting. For instance, they make it possible only to select fruit that will withstand long journeys. As a result, the fruit can be sent successfully even to the most demanding and distant (and also most profitable) destinations, such as the Asian markets.
