UNICA’s general assembly features participation of its 16 governing councils
UNICA Group held its general assembly in person this week with the participation of the governing councils of the 16 cooperatives that make it up. The group has once again broken its own record with a turnover of €575 million last campaign (which includes services from its cooperatives such as supplies, gas stations, etc.), and consolidated sales of fruit and vegetables of €506 million.
Manager of the second-level cooperative, Enrique de los Ríos, addressed the members of the governing councils, highlighting the importance of carrying out a future plan based on “concentrating supply and focusing on lobbying and marketing”.
In recent months, UNICA GROUP has once again demonstrated its global leadership in horticultural exports, which it has maintained over the last decade. It has achieved a strong position not only with products traditionally grown in Almería and Granada, such as peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and watermelons, but also in other products such as oranges, garlic and berries.
