The Tianjin Inspection and Quarantine Bureau is to strengthen the measures it takes to inspect and quarantine imported fruit. The steps are to ensure more stringent levels of fruit quality and safety. China’s northern port of Tianjin is the country’s second largest port, with 16.6 million tons of fruit passing through in 2016.
