Sustained growth of Ecuadorian banana shipments

Exports of Ecuadorian bananas from January to July this year totalled 220.85 million boxes, up 6.4% from the 2022 total of 207.56 million boxes over the same period. According to AEBE data, there was a rising trend in the global consensus of value chain experts, going from 40.00 in week 27 to 66.67 in week 30, indicating that dollar sales grew in the sector. Volume sales were also up, with an increasing trend in the global consensus of value chain experts, going from 56.50 in week 27 to 63.33 in week 30.
