Surinver increases the recyclability of its ready-to-eat meal containers
Surinver, with almost 50 years of experience in the production and commercialize of fresh fruit and vegetables, has made a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
Bearing in mind that packaging is necessary to guarantee food safety and product quality, at Surinver we are committed to developing sustainable and innovative designs for our ready-to-eat products.
This line of vegetable products already prepared and ready for consumption “ready to eat” is focused on offering products to make life easier for the consumer, and at the same time, joining the initiative to protect the environment and improve the recyclability of packaging. .
These 100% vegan dishes are specially developed to satisfy the most demanding customer with a wide range of products, and also, with the change to this new type of packaging, whose purpose is to create a future without waste, maintaining the high standards of quality that characterize our products without losing quality, properties or storage time of the products.
All of this has led Surinver to maintain its firm commitment to innovation, continuous improvement of processes and development policy for ready-to-eat products with the aim of satisfying the needs of the most demanding customers who are aware of environmental protection.
For now, to achieve this goal, the Cooperative has reduced, replaced and redesigned the plastic containers in our trays.
In this way, it has encouraged the use of those containers with better recycling rates, minimizing materials that are difficult to recycle..
It should be noted that the Cooperative has designed a seal indicating the reduction of plastic in its packaging to inform the consumer, who is increasingly aware of sustainability and the protection of nature.
Awareness with the environment
It is very difficult to avoid plastic in our day to day, but it is possible to reduce its use through small actions, using sustainable and environmentally friendly products. A clear example of this is our range of ready-to-eat vegetable dishes, with new plastic-reduced packaging.
The Cooperative’s commitment to creating a sustainable environment and environmental awareness is more than palpable, with the reduction of plastics in its packaging, as well as a photovoltaic installation with an approximate surface area of 3,500 m2 and a remarkable reduction in Co2 emissions. .
