Estimates for the 2017 campaign released by Spain’s Agricultural Ministry indicate a
widespread fall in citrus production, especially in satsumas (-29.7%) and clementine (-18.7%). Orange output also fell (-10.6%) as did that of lemon (-8.8%) and grapefruit (-5.8%). Early forecasts of hybrid mandarin harvests suggest a drop of 3.1%.
