Spain’s blueberry exports surge in 2021

Spanish exports of blueberries soared by 17.2% YoY in volume to 62,000 tons between February and June 2021. In value, shipments were up 22.3% YoY to €374 million.

The average price of blueberries was 4.3% higher than in the same period of 2020. Around 75.3% of blueberry exports go to the EU, with the main markets being Germany (43%), the UK (17%) and the Netherlands (15.3%).
