Russia’s greenhouse vegetable production up 27.3%

Russia’s greenhouse vegetable crop is up 27.3% from last year’s volumes. Between January and November 8th 2018, output totalled 839,400 tons. The largest greenhouse production was of cucumbers, with volumes totalling 506,600 tons, which were 16.3% higher than in the same period in 2018. Next comes tomatoes, with a total output of 319,500 tons (+49.8%), with the remaining 13,300 tons comprising other vegetable crops (+30.3%).
