Rise in Chile’s stone fruit production

Chile’s 2023/24 cherry crop is estimated to reach 500,000 tons, which represents a 6.6% rise over 2022/23. According to the latest USDA report, Chilean cherry exports are expected to be up by 7.2% to 444,000 tons, assuming regular yields and higher area planted. In 2023/24, fresh peach and nectarine production will total 162,500 tons, a 1.6% increase over 2022/23. Peach and nectarine exports will increase by 2.3% to 106,400 tons based on typical yields and a slight growth area planted.
