New Waitrose app takes the pain out of parking

Waitrose has launched a new contactless parking app to enable customers to pre-book parking spaces at its new stores. The app represents an expansion of the retailer’s partnership with Flowbird. Users can book and pay for their parking session in-app in a contactless and cashless way and receive reminders of when their parking session is about to end.

The app will also allow users to extend their parking stay remotely, and customers will be able to redeem their parking fee based on an in-store spend threshold.

Waitrose operations manager Louise Pitt said: “Over the last year, we’ve listened to feedback from our customers and seen an increase in demand for the option of contactless payments within our own car parks, so we’re delighted to be able to support more of our customers and offer this service in an additional 14 Waitrose shops.”
