Morocco’s citrus exports feel heat from Mediterranean rivals

Morocco’s citrus industry estimates fresh orange and fresh lemon/lime exports to be slightly lower in 2020/21 than in 2019/20. Although the shipping season is not yet finished for oranges, the USDA’s 2020/21 export estimate for fresh oranges and lemons/limes has been revised down due to strong local demand and competition from Egypt, Turkey, and Spain.
