Los Gallombares strengthens leadership position in green asparagus with more production and new sustainable facilities
In order to offer enhanced services, the cooperative has invested €8 million in expanding its facilities, through the construction of a new 10,000-square-metre warehouse with a capacity for 100,000 kg of product per day.
This coming spring, the cooperative from Granada will once again surprise customers and consumers with an increase in its own production of green asparagus, taking the total to 9 million kilos. The vegetable offers character and personal branding to guarantee full satisfaction of expectations in terms of health and care for the environment.
The quality of Los Gallombares products derives from the land and the firm’s expert farmers. With ideal climatic conditions, the Spanish agricultural cooperative, made up of 600 farmers, grows 80% of its vegetables on dry land, irrigated with pure rainwater and applying only organic methods.
Each item is harvested at dawn to keep its organoleptic qualities intact and ensure a powerful flavour, crunchy texture and abundant healthy properties. The result of this care is a sustainable vegetable and an experience for the palate. And an excellent option to take care of our health every day.
“We offer our customers a practically organic green asparagus and unbeatable quality thanks to our fields and our state-of-the-art German machinery”, said manager of Los Gallombares, Francisco Delgado, who will lead, together with the president of the cooperative, Pedro Sillero, the commercial team at the next edition of Fruit Logística. The cooperative’s stand will be located at A-06, Hall 10.2 of Messe Berlin.
