Legros Bio tailors services to each individual client
“Some years ago, realising the rising interest in organic products in the German market, we found Spanish producers of organic vegetables, set up a business and started to supply organic “ratatouille” vegetables: capsicum, courgettes, tomatoes, broccoli, etc.,” said Arnaud Punzano, buyer at Legros Bio, based in Perpignan (France). Since 2007, the firm’s range of products has enlarged considerably to include all kinds of vegetables, citrus and exotic fruit. While sourcing 80% of its goods from Spain, the company has also been developing production in France, which, alongside Germany, is one of the largest markets for Legros Bio. “Today our segment is very competitive,” said Punzano. “During the pandemic, the increased demand for healthy products has resulted in higher prices.”
