Latin America will conduct agricultural business at AGRITRADE Expo & Conference 2019
Guatemala prepares for the AGRITRADE Expo & Conference international convention that the AGRITRADE Platform will hold on March 21, 22 and 23, 2019 in Santo Domingo del Cerro in Antigua, Guatemala. The 2019 edition seeks to generate agricultural business with 150 international buyers, including for the first time the visit of buyers from Japan. The organisers of this regional agricultural convention project business for US$65 million in the short and medium term. In addition, as pioneers in agricultural technology, Israel will be the guest country, providing experts for a training programme.
The latest Latin American agricultural offer includes frozen and processed fruits and vegetables, spices, and ornamental plants. Service and logistics companies, regulation and certification companies, agricultural machinery and others are preparing Latin American producers and entrepreneurs to present at the 19th edition of Agritrade Expo and Conference 2019.
AGRITRADE Expo & Conference seeks not only to present the Latin American agricultural offer through fresh products but also through agro-industrial products, which generate additional value and extend the life of the products by facilitating export processes and incursion into new markets.
AGRITRADE Expo & Conference aims to be the Latin American business centre of the agricultural and processed products industry in the international market. This positioning has been achieved over 19 editions and has aroused the interest of international buyers from the strategic markets of Europe, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama and Central America.
Since last year, the AGRITRADE platform has presented the products that make up the new exportable offer in Latin America. This is a concrete response to changes in international markets that involve more regulations, certifications, new varieties of fruit and vegetable products, as well as new ways of eating healthy. As consumers do not want to always eat the same food, in the same way and with the same package, AGRITRADE Expo & Conference 2019 will have an intensive day of seminars focused on innovation and agricultural technology) for producers and agro exporters, while recognising the “Innovation of the year”.
There will also be a Mango, Avocado and Vegetable Festival, which involves nationally renowned chefs making dishes with export products, as well as Coffee Trade, where baristas will participate and there will be auction of differentiated coffee. Moreover, the annual meeting of the “Mango Board” will be held within the framework of Agritrade, as well as other activities that aim to promote and position the diversity of the agricultural sector.
From 21 to 23 March 2019, in Santo Domingo del Cerro, in Antigua Guatemala, our country will become the agricultural business centre of Latin America. We will have an exhibition floor with 180 stands that will show off our range of agricultural products, supplies and services to 150 international buyers. Our guest country will be Japan, a market that is consumer-oriented and has high purchasing power. The Japanese are open to international products as long as their requirements of quality, sophistication and impeccable presentation are met.
