Japan’s recent potato shortages have led fast food giants like McDonald’s and Mos Burger to suspend their sales of French fries, while Burger King Japan is now replacing fries with ramen in its combo meals.
Branding the ramen alternative as the Daitai Potato Set, the chain aims to provide the same salty, starchy satisfaction as that of a bag of French fries. The Daitai Potato Set contains a bag of Baby Star Dodekai Ramen, a crunchy dried ramen noodle snack.
