FEDEXPOR holds successful 1st virtual “Ecuador Food Fair”
The fair allowed Ecuadorian exporters showcase their products and establish new business opportunities. It involved minimum investment compared to face-to-face events of an international nature.
Organised by FEDEXPOR, the international fair exceeded expectations and made this new virtual way of doing business a reality. The event showed off Ecuador and its products to the world, where its production and logistics chain is 100% active to respond to international demand.
President of FEDEXPOR, Felipe Ribadeneira Molestina, highlighted that expectations have soared following the success, which is demonstrated by the figures:
Interactions: 44,714
Business appointments: 576
Business projection expectations: $15.17million
People trained in fair conference room: 1,500
The Ecuador Food Fair also promoted the transformation towards business sustainability, showing how business can be generated by complying with international standards. In future editions, Impact Assessment B will be used.
The Ecuador Food Fair was created by the Internationalise Mipyme programme and had the endorsement of the European Union in Ecuador, and the support of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries; PRO ECUADOR, and its commercial offices.
