Costa Rica signs trade agreement with UAE
Costa Rica and the UAE have signed several financial, cooperation and investment agreements that will allow exports of Costa Rican fruit to the Gulf country. The agreement also addresses renewable energy, hospital infrastructure and decarbonisation.
After the agreement, both countries agreed to participate in fairs and activities where the exchange of commercial delegations and representatives of business communities will be promoted with a view to doubling trade. Additionally, in the coming months, a delegation headed by the President of Costa Rica will visit the UAE to seek new investment opportunities.
Another point that the agreement addressed is related to the fact that Costa Rican producers will be able to enter the Emirati market, with the aim of stimulating the certification of products with the halal seal.
