COABE moves online
The Valencian cooperative is currently undergoing a radical change. After leaving Anecoop, COABE created its own commercial department to develop new lines of work.
“Online sales are one of the major projects we’ve been working on and we are developing an online store,” said Karin Varvaro, marketing manager, and Toni Fuertes, manager.
The cooperative, which brings together some 400 farmers, produces citrus, especially orange and tangerine, although, in recent years, it has diversified to other fruits such as pomegranate, persimmon, grape and kiwifruit in order to extend the campaign.
“Our strategy is to build bonds with our customers and to grow, not only in the Bétera area, but throughout the Valencian province and the rest of Spain.”
The cooperative guarantees production with zero pesticides, as testified by its organic certification. The latest challenge it has taken on is to develop biodegradable or compostable materials for all packaging.
