Bumper South Korean pear crop expected

South Korea’s 2021/22 pear crop is estimated to surge by nearly 40%, driven mostly by increased productivity levels, according to a FAS Seoul report. Domestic pear consumption is expected to rise by a similar level. Fresh pear imports are not allowed under South Korea’s existing phytosanitary regulations.
