The International actors of the pear sector will meet in Tours for INTERPERA 2019
INTERPERA, the International Pear Congress, returns to France from 25 to 27 June 2019 in Touraine. For its 12th edition, it will be co-organised by AREFLH, ANPP (National Pears Apples Association) and the experimental station La Morinière.
INTERPERA aims to bring together international producers and actors around technical and economic issues such as the recent developments and prospects of the pear production, profitability and the way of conducting the pear orchard in France and elsewhere, and research & innovation.
On the agenda this year, the first day will be dedicated to visits to orchards of different pear varieties (Conference, Williams, Comice, Sweet Sensation®, QTee®, Angélys®), followed on June 26 by the conference INTERPERA in the charming Oceania Hotel Universe of Tours.
Participants will be informed of the summer pear crop forecasts, developments and prospects of the global market. Round tables will also allow sharing experiences and discussions on the current challenges facing the pear production.
The experimentation station La Morinière (Saint-Epain) will welcome the participants for the third day of the congress as part of its “Sustainable Orchards” technical day. More than 400 French and international visitors, arboriculturists, technicians and partners of the sector are expected to share their knowledge, their expertise and discuss solutions to the current challenges of the world of pear. In-room presentations, but also technical trials in the orchard and equipment demonstrations will follow one another throughout the day.
Congress registration is now open and the detailed programme is available on www.interpera.org/english
All presentations from previous editions are also available on the website.
