AILIMPO’s lemon crop estimate for the 2023/2024 season foresees a production in Spain of 1,365,000 tons, a figure similar to that achieved in the 2020/2021 season, which represents an overall increase of 34% compared to the 2022/2023 season. The season just ended saw the lowest crop in the last 10 years, closing with a final production of 1,018,407 tons, which includes fruit exported, processed, sold in the domestic market, as well as weight losses.
Meanwhile, AILIMPO’s grapefruit production estimate for the 2023/2024 season indicates an expected harvest in Spain of 90,000 tons, a volume practically identical to that of the previous season.
