4th Edition of Global Cherry Summit to take place in April
Cherries rank as one of the fastest growing fruits in Chile and in the Southern Hemisphere in the last decade. The expansion in the supply and demand of this fruit – especially in the Chinese market – has transformed it into a key piece of the strategy of regional producers and exporters. This tremendous expansion has been strongly affected by the outbreak of Covid-19 and its effects on the international logistics chain as well as its repercussions at the level of the consumer, among other variables, such as the availability of labour and water.
In this context and to examine the issues that affect the sector, the Global Cherry Summit 2023 event – organised jointly by the Yentzen Group and the ASOEX Cherries Committee – represents the leading event for the cherry industry worldwide.
The 2022 version of the Global Cherry Summit brought together more than 900 people, from 12 countries, such as: China, the US, Peru, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, among others. Attendees highlighted the high quality of the talks, the organisation and the diversity of the participants, among which there were exporters, importers, retailers, researchers and advisers.
