Cooperativa La Palma revolutionising food
The firm will be in Berlin to maintain its leadership in the mini-vegetables sector, with attractive new specialty tomatoes and a line of subtropical vegetables, which fuses flavor with outstanding nutritional benefits. La Palma will also be unveiling innovative new-generation products, such as vegetable red tuna, culinary aids, freeze-dried products, vegetable sauces and vegan hamburgers.
Cooperativa La Palma celebrates 50 successful years at this edition of Fruit Logistica. It’s been fifty years of unceasing cooperation, innovation, wealth generation and social improvement, marked by a long and solid business trajectory. The cooperative is the largest producer of cherry and specialty tomatoes in Spain, and a benchmark in Europe in the production and marketing of cherry tomatoes and specialty mini-vegetables. The knowledge and work of over 700 farmers and 1,200 workers have revolutionised food, with a strong commitment to generating added value for the consumer through clear social responsibility and participatory management.
Pedro Ruiz, president of Cooperativa La Palma, says that La Palma is working to help feed 750 million Europeans in a healthy and sustainable way: “We are already generating smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, based on innovation and the values of the circular economy”, he said.
At FruitLogistica 2023, La Palma will present solutions to meet the new challenges of agriculture, such as how to become more sustainable, tasty and healthy for everyone.
This authentic food revolution will take shape in the form of innovative and extraordinary fresh products, in its new vegan alternative, in sustainable packaging, and in new marketing concepts.
Efforts continue to be focused on a magnificent selection of top-quality mini-vegetables, consisting of a wide variety of specialty tomatoes, snack cucumber and mini-pepper. The firm’s range also features new flavour tomatoes with excellent nutritional benefits, as well as a wide line of subtropicals, made up of custard apple, avocado and mango, as well as the newly added pitahaya, passion fruit and citrus caviar.
