Grupo Agroponiente will attend Fruit Logística 2023 to present its new offices in the Netherlands
The great fruit and vegetable fair returns to its usual time of year, between February 8 and 10, at the Messe Berlin venue, where the company from Almería will once again have a 48-square-metre stand in Hall 8.2
A fixture now for a decade and a half, Grupo Agroponiente will once again attend this year’s Fruit Logística, held between February 8 and 10 at the Messe Berlin in the German capital. The company from Almería will have a 48-square-metre stand, located in the 8.2 pavilion, where it has been located in recent years, in the central area of the large Berlin exhibition space.
The main objective is to present to the European and global fruit and vegetable market all the company’s progress in a year of great developments. Those attending the stand will be able to receive information regarding the operational and structural changes at Agroponiente, such as its new offices opened in the Netherlands, from which the company can serve the northern European market more efficiently and directly.
International representatives will be able to learn about the new structure of Grupo Agroponiente, which is much more efficient and global, with all its services and the bulk of its production centralised in Almería (Spain), but with productive and operational bases distributed throughout various countries both in Europe and Africa, already working at full capacity to consolidate the global offering that the company targets.
In addition, Grupo Agroponiente will tell the world about the results of these transformations process that are already yielding concrete results in terms of increased production and marketing capacity throughout the year and a broader portfolio of both traditional products (tomato, cucumber, pepper, courgette, aubergine, beans, etc.) as well as seasonal fruits (melon, watermelon) and tropical fruits. The company is also strengthening its supply of other products too.
All of this is taking place in line with the philosophy of Grupo Agroponiente: sustainability in all processes and operations is a key element for all the company’s personnel and partners. The stand at Fruit Logística will place special emphasis on conveying the message that the company has managed to inject sustainability as a fundamental element in everything it does, from productive activities to logistics. Its policies have led to over 50% lower emissions in less than a year and involved the transformation of production and operations.
As for the stand, the 48-metre exhibition area of Grupo Agroponiente, located in Hall 8.2 of Messe Berlin, will house a meeting area open to the public, a private meeting area and a space for product exhibition, all of which will be preserved in the best conditions. Fifteen professional experts in international trade with detailed knowledge of business and production will meet with professionals in order to continue with the process of clear commercial growth that the company has been following in the last year.
CEO of the company, Imanol Almudí, who will lead this team, said: “There is no doubt that Fruit Logística is, in general, a very important event for the European and world fruit and vegetable market. Every year, all the operators and agents with interests in this sector meet there and many contacts and relationships are made and planning carried out. At Grupo Agroponiente, we have extensive experience in dealing with this event and know how to make the most of the work we do there in order to obtain high performance during the rest of the year. However, on this occasion, Fruit Logística is particularly relevant for us, since the time has come to value all the work done so far, with the aim of transforming the company into a first-rate international operator, a job which has already borne fruit in terms of figures, initiating a clear process of growth and consolidation. Now is the time to transfer it to our international partners and to all market operators. It is going to be a very important fair for us and we are going to take advantage of it as one more element of our creation process.”
