Abu Qamar, the biggest Egyptian exporter of beetroot to Canada

Abu Qamar is a well-established family business which history takes back as 1959. The company grows and exports various vegetables. “We are the biggest Egyptian exporter of red beetroot to Canada- 1,000 ton,” says Muhammed Abu Qamar, CEO. “We also supply carrot, yellow and red onion, garlic, and other vegetables to Canada, Taiwan, Philippines and to other countries. For example, we shipped 50 containers of red onion to Hong Kong.”

The company also grows and exports 5,000 t of lemon and other fruit; it has a branch company Port Said Express, located in that city and dealing with shipment through that region.
