Naturland: certified organic farming since 1982

Naturland, founded 40 years ago in Germany, is an association made up of 140,000 organic farmers. “Current discussions about energy and the food crisis caused by the war in Ukraine must not set back the evolution of organic farming,” said Naturland president Hubert Heigl, speaking at Biofach 2022. The main theme of his talk was that organic farming is the most resilient system for providing long-term solutions to the most pressing crises, from species extinction to climate change. Constantly working to innovate and learn, Naturland’s norms have influence at the level of European legislation.
