Mazzoni launches new partnership with Jingold

Last September 2016 Mazzoni signed a new partnership with Jingold, one of the most prestigious brand for yellow and green kiwi.

“In a short period, we will start the production of the Jinyan yellow kiwi and we expect to have significant volumes in 2-3 years.  In the meantime we will share Jingold strategy to develop a new red kiwi variety. We forecast to be present in the fresh market very shortly.  We have a great belief in the Jingold brand, which is known throughout the world.  We already share common production areas in the Mid-South of Italy and we are now developing a joint project to build new facilities,” said commercial director, Sergio Trevisan. 

The market for kiwis is experiencing high levels of growth.  “Since September we have been selling the Greek kiwi, shipping them all over the world directly from Greece.  This allows us to supply our customers with a premium product from  October to November before the Italian kiwi production start up. Kiwi is an important reference to our group, both in terms of volume and revenue. Mazzoni is increasing also in organic kiwi Hayward production. Our main markets are Germany and Austria. Thanks to a steady growth in global consumption we believe that only by strengthening the brand and making continued improvements in packing and logistics, Mazzoni will be able to achieve its status as one of the major players of the sector,” said Trevisan.  

This year we expect a good quality Italian kiwi harvest but we estimate approx -30%  production vs 2015, in Italy.  “Since many years Mazzoni has been establishing a good relation with Chilean kiwi growers. We are really satisfied for their kiwi quality which enables us to guarantee  and ensure a service to our custmers all year long”, said Trevisan.
