Added value agribusiness shipments to Spain climb 4%
In the first two months of the year, non-traditional agricultural exports to Spain totalled nearly US$72.3 million, an increase of 4% compared to the same period in 2021, when the amount reached US$69.7 million, according to the Association of Exporters (ADEX).

Spain ranks fourth as the largest destination for agribusiness shipments (with added value), accounting for 4.9% of the global total, surpassed only by the US, the Netherlands and Hong Kong.
Among the top ten items, the fastest growers were palm oil (2nd place in the ranking, + 339.2%); fresh asparagus (+2.9%), prepared artichokes (+31.9%) and paprika (+111.7%). Meanwhile, there were falls in shipments of fresh grapes (1st place in the ranking; -25.8%); fresh mangoes (-18.4%), canned asparagus (-18.4%), avocados (-22.4%) and fresh onions (-57%).
